This week saw the official opening of our Vale Taphouse, Restaurant & Bar and Luxury Accommodation Suites on the stunning Beresford Estate. We were thrilled to welcome the Hon Leon Bignell to do the honours along with our Owner Angelo Kotses.

Staff and suppliers enjoyed a night of festivities and celebrated the completion of what is set to be a new McLaren Vale icon and major driver for regional tourism.

Congratulations to all for bringing this exciting new project to life.

Results for the UK based award show – The Gin Masters – are in, and 23rd Street Distillery have done extremely well. Taking home two Master awards, one gold and two silver medals. The Gin Masters is a competition with the aim to unearth the ‘Gin Masters’ of the world. Chaired by The Spirits Business and a panel of leading spirits specialists, the gin is judged in a blind tasting to discover the Gin Masters of 2022. Beresford Estate presents High Tea Series. Gin lovers and even gin ‘on the fence’-ers, do we have an event for you. On June 19th prepare to have an experience like no other as Beresford Estate presents High Tea Series Featuring 23rd Street Distillery Gin. This isn’t your standard stuffy high tea. We’ve done away with simple cucumber sandwiches in favour of a more elevated experience. Each part of the menu prepared by Executive Chef John Rankin has been carefully curated to either highlight the notes of the paired spirits or has 23rd St Distillery gin in the dishes themselves.

We’re very proud of our hardworking winemaking team, for receiving recognition from such a prestigious wine show on an international level. The 2022 Decanter Wine Awards have announced their results and we’re thrilled to share with you that our Galway Pipe 25 YO Rare Tawny has received 97 points and won a ‘Best In Show’ Trophy. As well as the inaugural 2016 vintage of our Beresford Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon, has received 97 points and a Platinum Medal.

THE QLD FLOOD APPEAL – The Beenleigh Artisan Distillery knows, after already being impacted by the floods in 2017 and yet again recently, that after the rains stop the clean-up will still continue for many months, and that the battle is far from over for Queenslanders and other flood affected communities. We are in this together. From early March to Monday 11 April 2022, every bottle sold at the Beenleigh Artisan Distillery will see $5 donated to THE QLD FLOOD APPEAL.

What a night at the 2021 South Australian Premiers Food and Beverage Industry awards where Vok Beverages took out the New product award (>15FTE’s) for the launch of the 23rd Street No Sugar Gin and Tonic RTD and the Export team won the Export award (>15 FTE’s). The night culminated in our MD Angelo Kotses awarding Claude Cicchiello with his Leaders Award.
